Danny O’ Brien

Danny has been performing stand-up comedy for over thirteen years, headlining regularly at top comedy clubs and festivals to worldwide audiences. A regular on Irish TV and radio- his friendly, high energy and anecdotal style draws in an audience and brings on the big laughs with ease!

He has had sell-out solo tours both nationally and internationally for the past several years and
Following in the footsteps of Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran and Dara Ó Briain – Danny was handpicked in 2016 to perform as part of the iconic ‘Best of The Edinburgh Fest’ Show across Australia touring Perth World Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and is the only Irish comic to do the tour a record three years in a row! In 2018 he opened for American comedian Bill Burr in front of over 7,000 people in Dublin.

During the pandemic of 2020, Danny O’ Brien launched a hugely successful  ‘Garden Gigs Ireland’ which saw him perform outdoor socially distanced shows for local communities and frontline workers which featured on every major Irish and UK news and media outlet. During the lockdown he helped to raise over €100,000 through online shows and fundraisers for The Irish Cancer Society, Pieta House and Wexford Women’s Refuge to name but a few.
Danny was the star of Virgin Media Televisions “Lockdown Comedy Special” which received huge viewing figures from its Saturday night airing, it was the first of its kind on Irish television and was praised for its innovation during the lockdown!

“He opened for me at the 3Arena and f*cking murdered it!”— Bill Burr

Karl Spain

Karl Spain has been a staple of Irish stand-up comedy for twenty years.

In 2005, Karl achieved nationwide renown for his TV series Karl Spain Wants A Woman. This was a huge success in that he not only got huge ratings but he also found himself a woman. In 2009 he filmed Karl Spain Wants to Rock but did not get a woman from that show. He has also appeared on Liffey Laughs, The Late Late Show, The Panel, Tubridy Tonight, The Afternoon Show, and The Offside Show and Operation Transformation. Most recently, Karl was the face of the Ray Darcy Show’s Stand Up and Be Funny Competition, a country-wide search for the new voices of Irish comedy.

Karl has also performed stand-up on television all over the world – the U.S, the Middle East, Australia and even as far away as England.

Karl’s radio work includes Don’t Quote Me with the late Sean Hughes for RTÉ Radio 1 and You Couldn’t Make It Up for Newstalk.

He regularly performs at festivals such as Kilkenny Cat Laughs, the Galway Comedy Festival, the Vodafone Comedy Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and Montreal Just for Laughs. Karl has toured Australia as well as the United States and South Africa.

In 2019 Karl toured internationally with Kevin Bridges. He also performed around Ireland with Bernard O’Shea in their show, Fat Chancers.
