Two of Ireland’s most loved live acts come together for one truly spectacular night asQweenjoin forces withThe Dublin Gospel Choirfor a powerful performance,Live at The Breakwater, WexfordonFriday 7th August 2026.

Renowned for their show-stopping performances and festival-filling energy, Qween are widely celebrated as the ultimate Queen tribute act _ and what’s more, they’re our very own, hailing from . Frontman Brian Keville, from Leixlip in Co. Kildare channels Freddie Mercury with uncanny authenticity – from the unmistakable voice and stage presence to the trademark moustache – making audiences feel as though they’re witnessing the rock icon himself.

Following acclaimed performances in venues and festivals across the country, Qween and The Dublin Gospel Choir reunite to deliver some of Queen’s biggest and most beloved hits, performed with the grandeur and passion they deserve.

“Queen had two sides,”says Keville.“There was the live band – just the four of them on stage – and then there was the studio band, where lush arrangements and overdubbed guitars and vocals became their signature sound. We thought the next step would be to bridge the gap with a gospel choir, and it took things up another level.”

Keville is no stranger to stepping into Freddie Mercury’s shoes – he previously portrayed the singer in theLive AiddramaWhen Harvey Met Bob, alongside Domhnall Gleeson as Bob Geldof. “Freddie had a way about everything he did that’s hard to capture,” he reflects. “You need to totally forget who you are and create his larger-than-life persona with total commitment to your audience. A real bushy moustache also helps!”

This is the first announcement for 2026’s Live at the Breakwater series, which takes place in the spectacular Big Top at Ferrybank, Wexford each summer. 2025’s series saw performances from Amble, Gavin James, Moncrieff, The Waterboys, Jax Jones and The Whistlin’ Donkeys.
